Yoshino Kominka
Yoshinogun, Nara Pref.
Known for its thousand cherry blossoms trees and beautiful cedar forests, Yoshino is located in the southeastern mountains of the Nara Basin. This kominka is located in Ogawa, the center of Higashi-Yoshino Village in the east of Yoshino, and stands by a clear river. The view from the house is spectacular, and the area is famous among those who enjoy mountain stream fishing. The Kominka is not too old, but it is built in a very traditional manner, with plenty of high-quality wood used, as is typical of a mountainous country. With its spectacular view and large earthen floor space, it could be expected to be used as a café or a guest house.
