Kuchinotsucho Kominka

A Meiji era (built 1903) Kominka on the southern tip of Shimabara Peninsula that is only a 2 minutes walk to the ocean. While the facade was kept close to its original state, the interior was self-renovated by the current owner. From here, you are a 40 minutes drive away from the Unzen-Amakusa National Park. The park is famous for its terraqueous panorama composed of volcanic landscape of the steaming Mt. Unzen and beautiful seascape of Amakusa. You can also find up to 200 wild dolphins in the Hayasaki Straits on the Dolphin Watching boats.
