Higashi-kawanabe Kominka
Ichikawa Town, Hyogo Pref.
A traditional Kominka that looks like a temple hall with its steep, towering roof. This is the main building of the property, with a thatched roof now covered in metal sheets. It is an old farmhouse structure believed to have existed here for over a century. On this spacious property, outbuildings and storage sheds are efficiently arranged, each retaining the old-world charm of the farmhouse. The entire house was fully renovated in September of 2024. Located north of Himeji city, the area is a historic riverside settlement mentioned in documents from the early 8th century. Its proximity to nearby urban areas provides convenience; Himeji Station is just a 30-minute drive away, where a bullet train can take you to Shin-Osaka station in 30 minutes.
