Mega Minka
Himeji City, Hyogo Pref.
Mega, in southern Himeji City—home to Japan’s famous white Himeji Castle—is a coastal town near the Seto Inland Sea. The Ichikawa River flows along its western edge, and the beach is within walking distance. The town is best known for the spectacular “Nada Fighting Festival,” where mikoshi (portable shrines) crash together in one of Japan’s most dynamic traditional events. This elegant Minka sits quietly within Mega’s historic townscape, and its refined design features a tea ceremony entrance within the main hall. Despite its traditional charm, the home is fully equipped with modern amenities and already in livable condition. Himeji city center is close by, and access from Himeji Shinkansen Station to other areas is excellent.
