Taniguchi Villa
Atami City, Shizuoka Pref.
A historical Japanese Sukiya-style villa once owned by Taniguchi Toyosaburo, a famous businessman in the Showa era who was the head of the Toyobo Corporation. Toyobo is now one of Japan's top manufacturer of fibers and textiles. Despite the fact that you are only a 5 minutes walk to JR and Shinkansen Atami station, and a 10 minutes walk to the Atami Sun beach (famous for the seasonsal firework shows), this villa is surrounded by lush greenery and the tranquility makes you forget that you are in the center of Atami. Finally, the biggest perk of a villa in Atami is that you can draw hot spring water inside the house for personal use. This villa can be used as a vacation home or even a Ryokan (Traditional Japanese inn).
